The first products from Jay-Z’s new cannabis brand have arrived. The unveiling comes after 18 months of strain selection and cultivation, the company notes in a release. The strains, designated as light, medium and heavy, are available as flower, pre-rolls or handrolls, a product distinct to the brand. The OG Handroll takes its influence from cigars. Using a proprietary rolling technique, and “highly trained artisan rollers,” the flower burns slowly and evenly across multiple sessions. DeAndre Watson, the brand’s culture and cultivation ambassador, is the architect behind the product. Watson, who has been working with cannabis for more than 25 years, leads the team of growers, running a program of extended humidity control and post-harvest care. The OG Handroll has a suggested retail price of US$50. Monogram’s flower will be available in two- and four-gram packages, retailing from approximately US$40 to $US70, as well as pre-rolls. The Loosies pre-roll pack retails for US$40 and contains four 0.4 joints.
