A court has ordered a 49-year-old man convicted of supplying multiple kilograms of cocaine, cannabis and amphetamines in the U.K. to pay £1.2 million (more than $2 million) in assets within three months or chance spending another seven years in prison. If the £1.2 million ($2 million) — which includes cash seized, money held in bank accounts and equity in property — is not paid within three months, as much as seven years of prison time will be tacked onto his current sentence and he will still be liable for repaying the money, the NCA reports. Though financial investigators believed part of the £208,000 (about $360,000) Warner deposited in his bank accounts from October 2012 to September 2018 could have been from cash-paid building work, rental income and gambling winnings, they determined the lion’s share, £182,000 ($315,000), “was part of his benefit from criminal conduct,” the NCA reports.
