The attack on the ‘genarians’ — this time, nonagenarians — by questionable companies selling CBD on Facebook continues with Sir David Attenborough, whose voice has been a mainstay of nature programming narration for decades. According to The Mirror , 94-year-old Attenborough was “appalled” to find out about a bogus article and a fake advertisement for a product publicizing that the narrator known for countless series, documentaries and specials, including Planet Earth and Our Planet , “wouldn’t be here” if not for a CBD supplement he was using. Unlike the effort put into the ad, there was barely any inventiveness about the CBD oil product it reported that Attenborough had developed himself: “David Attenborough CBD Oil”. A simple Google search brings visitors to a Facebook page, where it notes his product “is also known as the primary treatment for body and joint pain. Also, for those who suffer from anxiety and stress and want to get a safe solution, the supplement is a better solution.” Attenborough found out about the unsanctioned scheme by a fan.
