The Sooner State features natural beauty, festivals, and mid-century culture for Oklahomans and out-of-state travelers. Staying at weed friendly places adds to the fun and experience.

So whether you are enjoying a vacation or a staycation, here are some of the best spots to enjoy the sights—and your cannabis.

Great Outdoors: Thousand Oaks Resort

A short drive to South Grand Lake and the Disney Dam off -roading area, Thousand Oaks Resort is a cannabis-friendly, adults-only resort in Mayes County. Guests may consume cannabis anywhere on the property, including in the cabins.

The resort also features gravity bongs and other smoking devices available for rent. A medical card is not required to book a cabin or visit the resort.

The property offers ample parking space for all water and off -roading toys. Guests can access the Disney Dam from the resort without using the Dam bridge.

Surrounded by 30 acres of woods to explore, the resort features 16 cabins (private hot tubs in six of them), RV park, saltwater swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, and fire pits. Relax in the spa room, which offers various services and in-room massage.

A 2,000-square-foot event barn accommodates cannabis-friendly parties, classes, weddings, family reunions, and corporate meetings. It is also pet-friendly (for pets 30 pounds and under).

Cabins with kitchens are fully stocked with utensils, dishware, pots, and pans. The RV pads include 30-amp power, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi. The property has several grills around the resort. While charcoal and other grilling supplies are not provided, its general store carries many items for a fun-filled day. The saltwater pool remains open for guests until Labor Day weekend.
