HIGH: Sales of cannabis oil is soaring after Holland and Barrett became the first to sell it
A HIGH Street giant has become the first in the UK to sell cannabis products – and it’s going down a storm.
Health retailer Holland and Barrett is now selling medicinal cannabis oil in its stores across Britain.
Sales are going through the roof since it stocked the product just four weeks ago, shooting up 37%.
According to the Cannabis Trades Association UK the number of cannabidiol (CBD) users as a whole has gone from 125,000 a year ago to 250,000 now.

And demand for the supplement is so high Holland and Barrett is set to add four more variations to its shelves next month.
Holland & Barrett said: “We have been surprised at the success and popularity of CBD oil since its launch.
“We are constantly looking to bring new and innovative products to market that help our customers.

“It is great to see in this instance that we can help with the demand.”
The product, CBD+Oil – made by Dutch firm Jacob Hooy’s – is made by pressing hemp leaves and flowers.
As it has less than 0.2% of the psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol, it does not produce a high and so is legal in the UK.
