Mississippi Opens Applications for Medical Cannabis Cards, Business Licenses

<![CDATA[Mississippi launched the application process for patients seeking to enroll in the state’s medical cannabis program June 1, according to an ABC24 report.Patients with physician approval, as well as cultivators, processors and testing facilities, can apply with the Mississippi Department of Health starting Wednesday, the news outlet reported. Applications also open June 1 for medical practitioners and cannabis transportation and waste disposal services.Pre-application requirements include reading the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Act and reviewing the program’s regulations, as well as a background check and fingerprinting, ABC24 reported.
