We wish Alan the speediest of recoveries and hope to see him back at work as soon as is possible for him. Wishes go out to his family friends and colleagues and don’t get us started on cars and bikes. I gave up owning a car a few years back as i live in a city where a car is essentially a pollution machine that engenders laziness. After a few months of living dangerously on a bike I have returned to being a pedestrian although the way that most people drive these days in those oversized cars they don’t need,  even being a pedestrian is fraught with danger.
