DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Puzzle Group is involved obtaining real estate, entitlements and licensing for retail Dispensaries in California, New Jersey, New York and Michigan. The associate attorney’s duties will include providing advice and support on a range of matters related to cannabis licensing and regulation, drafting comments and position papers related to ordinances and regulations, drafting development agreements, assisting with transactional real estate law and preparing RFP’s (Requests for Proposals) and Cannabis Dispensary applications. Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to municipalities and local governments to obtain Dispensary Licenses. Development and adaptation of Standard Operating Procedures. Development of community engagement plans and outreach to various community groups, stakeholders. Strong background required in principles of municipal and administrative law and extensive experience reviewing and drafting municipal codes. The cannabis industry is growing exponentially.
