Missouri House hears bill to allow psychedelics

Rep. Tony Lovasco, R-O’Fallon, has proposed a bill that would “create a framework to allow natural-based drugs” such as psilocybin, mescaline and others to be used for treatment of such conditions. The bill would also decriminalize possession of these hallucinogens up to four grams. If passed, it would allow Missourians to use psilocybin at home or at a medical facility. Lovasco cited actions in other states such as Oregon and Oklahoma for moving toward using psychedelics for medical purposes.
