Elon Musk usually seems quite sure of himself but had plenty of questions after the business magnate doubted the efficacy of “overhyped” CBD and Joe Rogan provided a defence of the cannabinoid’s reported benefits. Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience last week, Musk questioned whether or not CBD was “fake” in terms of claims about what it can do, according to Marijuana Moment . The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that it “acknowledges the significant interest in [CBD’s] possibilities,” but notes some companies are marketing products in breach of current rules and in ways “that may put the health and safety of consumers at risk.” To Musk’s suggestion that CBD “doesn’t do anything,” Rogan responded that it helps with inflammation and that not that much has to be taken to notice a positive impact. “CBD works great for people with arthritis and people with sore muscles and things like that,” he said, according to Marijuana Moment . “CBD definitely works for that, but as far as like psychoactive effects, not much.
