Laid off from her job at the hospital, Christian Stark of Pryor, Okla. knew exactly what she was going to do with her employment benefits: open a weed-friendly gym that welcomes patients and works to stamp out stigma around the plant. The owner of Mission Purpose Fitness in nearby Broken Arrow — a recent college graduate — regards the gym’s goals as being very much in line with her work in healthcare over the past dozen years. “This is a different kind of helping,” Stark, a certified trainer, told FOX23 last week . “We are here to help our clients lose weight, get in shape, and gain muscle for a healthier, happier life,” notes the gym’s Facebook site.
