How did I make it through this year in one piece? Drugs helped, for one thing. Though I prefer the term “medicines.” Imagine slogging through 2020 without cannabis! Or without MDMA. I’ve been speaking to people who have even found a way to roll with others, in person. Imagine that! With masks, outdoors, six feet apart and high as kites. They missed their usual cuddle puddles, and it was a little strange getting so chemically naked together while maintaining social distancing behind masks. But they found a way, and found it to be quite healing when they needed it the most. (Hint: masks with clear plastic around the mouth help a lot.)
