Four young people in India who were packing cannabis and trying to evade police apparently couldn’t escape the directional pull of the law when one crew member mistakenly ran right into a police station. Police were checking vehicles in Kambammettu, India on Dec. 10 when four people, including a male minor, who were smuggling weed and riding on a two-wheeler, didn’t stop when police asked them to do so. The smugglers believed to be coming from Tamil Nadu were chased and blocked at the border. The fleeing vehicle somehow overturned and the four people tried to escape on foot. Two of the suspects tried making their way across the border by using a local path, but somehow the male minor mistakenly ran into the police station, Mathrubhumi.com reports. The minor and a 20-year-old male were nabbed shortly thereafter, while the others managed to make their way over the border. Police later tracked them down and apprehended them. Two kilograms of cannabis was found in the vehicle when the first two suspects apprehended; the second two suspects were found with one kilogram of weed. All four individuals — aged 18, 20 and 22; the age of the minor male was not released — have been arrested.
