The United Nations Reclassifies Cannabis (But Not Really)

But surely this should have ‘some’ impact on the global state of cannabis? Of course, the fact that the U.N shifted their stance on cannabis and removed “marijuana for medical use” from the 1961 Single Convention of Narcotic Drugs – but does this mean cannabis for recreational use is still considered part of the document. One thing I know for certain is that “language matters” when it comes to legal documents like this. If it’s only “for medical purposes” – then we know that it’s not a move for “the freedom of people” but rather to grant clemency to the medical community to research it. Who is the main participant in the medical arena?
