Police officers found that a semi-trailer stopped for an inspection on Highway 1 East in Saskatchewan had more than its manifested load when they discovered 101 kilograms of cannabis hidden inside the trailer. Saskatchewan Highway Patrol noticed the semi-trailer, travelling at about 9:30 pm on Nov. 25 between Pense and Grand Coulee, and contacted the White Butte RCMP. When a search was done, 223 pounds (101 kg) of weed was found and seized, according to the police. An Ontario resident, driver Cesk Kalaj, 51, was arrested and later charged with one count under the Cannabis Act and one county under the Excise Act , reports Discover Moose Jaw.
