Actor, director, author and former fashion model Anjelica Huston had some thoughts to share about cannabis in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. Now 69-years-old, Huston — who starred as Morticia in The Addams Family and won an Academy Award for her performance in 1985’s Prizzi’s Honor — spoke with the magazine from her ranch near California’s Sequoia National Forest, where she’s been riding out the COVID-19 pandemic alongside some ducks, chickens, piglets, dogs, kittens and one “very charming” Shetland pony. Huston notes that her lifestyle has changed dramatically from the party days of the 1970s and 1980s, and she’s noticed the view of cannabis has evolved, too. “What’s funny about the wellness factor is that cannabis used to be considered a class-whatever-it-was drug, and now it’s supposed to be great for you,” she told the magazine.
