A New Chapter for the Cannabis Control Commission Since its establishment, the Cannabis Control Commission (Commission) has worked tirelessly toward the goal of becoming a world-class agency committed to embodying modern, 21st century government. We strive to conduct business openly and transparently, leverage state-of-the-art technology, foster a great place to work, develop and enforce effective regulations, educate the public, and conduct robust research.    On each of these fronts, we are proud to share the work we have accomplished to date. The Commission is in a new season of its operations, as evidenced by: The promulgation of new regulations for Massachusetts’ adult and medical use of marijuana programs; Launching the first phase of our Open Data Platform, which sets a new standard for how government learns from and shares information; Educating the public about adult-use cannabis through our statewide public awareness campaign including our new site, MoreAboutMJ.Org; Hosting seminars and classes for the first cohort of our Social Equity Program, which strives to provide prospective applicants and employees the tools and insights they need to succeed in this new industry; Eliminating the $50 fee for patients registered in the Medical Use of Marijuana Program; Making Initial Access Certification available for qualified Medical Use of Marijuana Program patients, so…
